1.Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) Stage:
Also known as mild cognitive decline, affecting memory, thinking, decision-making, and learning new things. This stage lasts 7-10 years and is not yet considered dementia.
2.Mild Dementia Stage:
Patients begin to experience symptoms that affect daily life, such as forgetting important information, difficulty concentrating, and problems planning or managing complex tasks, such as being unable to do accounting.
3.Moderate Dementia Stage:
More pronounced decline affects work or social interaction, such as getting lost or having trouble recognizing people around them. Patients at this stage require assistance with daily routines.
4.Severe Dementia Stage: The occipital lobe, the part of the brain related to vision, deteriorates. Patients lose their vision or cognitive abilities, making it difficult to recognize relatives or close friends. Some may experience blindness or distorted
perception, such as hallucinations.
